Established in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Exotic Fire Hogs is dedicated to breeding vibrant, healthy western hognose snakes, panther chameleons, gargoyle geckos, Madagascar giant hognose, and various types of frogs. Driven by lifelong passion and exceptional care, we take pride in raising robust reptiles for enthusiastic keepers nationwide.
OUR PASSION
My passion for reptiles began when I was just eight years old, wandering the canals of South Florida with a fishing rod in one hand and an endless curiosity for the creatures around me. I spent countless hours catching lizards and snakes, fascinated by their beauty, behavior, and the incredible world hidden right in my own backyard. What started as a childhood obsession never faded—it only grew stronger with time.
In 2016, that passion took a life-changing turn when we discovered the Western Hognose. We instantly fell in love with their unique personalities, incredible variety, and endless genetic possibilities. What began as simply wanting to try our luck at breeding them quickly became something much deeper—a true passion and a commitment to learning, improving, and producing exceptional animals.
From those early pairings, Exotic Fire Hogs was born.
Today, Exotic Fire Hogs has grown into an established South Florida breeding brand built on passion, dedication, and a genuine love for reptiles. Although we work with a variety of incredible animals—including Panther Chameleons, Madagascar Giant Hognose, Gargoyle Geckos, Viper Boas, and various species of frogs—Western Hognose snakes remain the heart and soul of what we do.
We have a particular love for the Lavender gene and the stunning combinations it can create, with the Frost complex coming in as another favorite for the unique depth and characteristics it brings to our animals. Exploring genetics, planning pairings, and watching something truly special emerge from a carefully chosen breeding project is what keeps us inspired.
But for us, breeding is about far more than producing beautiful animals. It’s about producing healthy, robust, high-quality reptiles that we can be proud of. Every pairing is carefully considered, every animal is raised with care, and every generation represents another step in a journey that began with a curious eight-year-old boy exploring the canals of South Florida.
